We are The Zodiac, an award winning musical theatre society based in Frodsham, Cheshire. We've been performing musicals for over 50 years since our foundation as a registered charity in 1968.

 

We are a friendly, enthusiastic and professional group united in our love for all things musical theatre. We are always looking to welcome new members and supporters.

 

We are currently looking forward to getting back to rehearsals for our next production, Flashdance The Musical, which will take to the stage at The Grange Theatre, Hartford, in November 2021.

Our previous shows have included Oklahoma!, the high octane Hot Mikado, Anything Goes, Carousel, Kiss Me Kate, Copacabana, Guys and Dolls, Me and My Girl, Avenue Q,  our box office sell out Hairspray, and the crowd pleasing Boogie Nights the 70's Musical. Shows since 2017 have included 9 to 5 the musical, Legally Blonde, and Spamalot; all performed at The Brindley Theatre, Runcorn. We have also performed many musical montage shows over the years, including a Montage of Musicals in 2017 which was a musical extravaganza with songs from the 1930s to modern day, and Zodiac Gold in 2019, which took audiences on a spectacular journey through 50 years of our musical theatre history.

 

PLEASE JOIN US! We are always delighted to welcome new performing or supporting members and of course we love seeing members of our audience. Would you like to join us on stage? Can you sing? Can you dance? Do you want to join our backstage, front of house or business teams?

Stage or musicals experience is not required, so come along and give it a try. However you choose to become involved, you will be sure to make some new friends and have a great time. 

 

In addition to having weekly rehearsals, we organise a variety of regular social events and often head down to the pub after rehearsals!

Information nights and auditions for our upcoming shows are currently scheduled for Frodsham Community Centre, and rehearsals are currently planned for Frodsham Community Centre. 

The Society meets every Thursday at 7:30 pm until 10:00 pm for general rehearsals. Principal rehearsals are typically Tuesdays at 7:30 pm until 10:00 pm.
