It’s a BEAUTIFUL time for The Zodiac

Award-winning theatre group The Zodiac is very excited to have been the first amateur theatre group in the region to win the rights to perform Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, having received notification of their successful application on the same day the rights were released to amateurs.

The Zodiac, based in Frodsham, Cheshire, will be performing this stunning show to local audiences in February 2024 at The Grange Theatre in Hartford.

Beautiful – The Carole King Musical tells the inspiring true story of Carole King’s remarkable rise to fame from being part of a song-writing team to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history.

The Zodiac Chairman Vicky Jones said, “We are so excited to have received this coup for our members and our audiences, and to know that we will be one of the first, if not THE FIRST, groups to perform it in our region makes this a very special time.

“As soon as the rights to Beautiful were released there was a flurry of activity within the Committee and a huge group effort occurred to get our application form filled in and sent off. When we received confirmation of the rights being awarded to us there was a lot of cheering!”

She added, “I am so proud of the work the Committee does to make sure our programme of shows is exciting for our current members, potential new members and our audiences.”

The Zodiac had already won the rights to perform two other top shows at The Grange - The Wedding Singer being performed in November 2023 and Elf The Musical being performed in November 2024.

The Zodiac first performed at The Grange in February 2022 when it was the first amateur theatre group in the North West to perform Flashdance The Musical.

The Zodiac are currently in rehearsal for their next show Dirty Rotten Scoundrels which was originally due to be performed in March 2020 but was postponed due to Covid. They will now be performing this wonderfully funny show at Frodsham Community Centre from Wednesday 22 March to Saturday 25 March nightly at 7.30pm.

Tickets for all The Zodiac shows are available via www.thezodiac.org and are released once rehearsals are underway.
