Last week, we celebrated our 📷🌟 50th Anniversary 📷🌟 as a society with a black tie fundraising event at the Forest Hills Hotel in Frodsham.
As well as being a party for members past and present (and their families and friends), we were also raising money for two local charities that have played a significant role in the lives of some of our members: The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre & Charity and Sands, the stillbirth & neonatal death charity.
We wanted to give something back. And 'give back' you did! 📷😍 We raised over £1000 from the ticket sales, raffle and silent auction.
The event, which was MC'd by the fabulous Gary 'Wild Humphrey' Kemp, raised money through the a raffle and a silent auction which included prizes kindly donated by local businesses. Thank you to those who donated.
A big thank you also goes to local band Stadia, helping to keep the party going with live music. And to photographer, Andrew Collier, who took some cracking shots of the night, and kindly donated prizes.
We would like to thank everybody who attended the celebration, and we would also like to say how wonderful you all were for helping us to kick-start our year of fundraising for these two charities.
Finally, a big thank you goes to our members and our supporters. Without you, we would not have reached our 50th year.
